THE STORY
The Douglas Fir trees are highly covered in temperate rainforests and plays an important role in stabilising ecosystems. They are tree species that grows stronger even after a fire. According to botanist specialist Muir, Douglas Firs are the largest and longest living giant tree in the needle-leaved category. They provide rich living resources for the indigenous people, while also providing shelter for ravens. Ravens are birds that has always been mentioned in literature; mentioned even in stories in ancient Babylonian times. Therefore the Douglas fir and raven are both ancient species on earth. The two are closely related and symbolic, that’s why we have combined the two patterns together the socks.
